The Engineer Who Saw the Future
Ritesh Mastipuram's journey began not in wellness, but in technology, precision, and future-facing design. An engineer by training, he spent nearly nine years in the United States working in mobile phone technology and semiconductor design — a world built on research, systems, scale, and anticipating what people would need before the market fully understood it.
This early career shaped the way he would later build businesses. During his travels, especially to Japan, he saw how naturally wellness was woven into everyday life. In India, despite its deep tradition of healing, the spa experience was still largely unorganised and inconsistent. For Ritesh, this became a clear opportunity: to make wellness more accessible, professional, and trusted.
The Birth of O2 Spa
After nearly three years of research and observation, Ritesh made a defining decision. He left behind a successful career in the United States and returned to Hyderabad to build a wellness business from the ground up. In 2008, he founded O2 Spa, which later evolved into Ode Spa.
The first opportunity came through Novotel Hyderabad, followed by Marriott Hyderabad and Hyderabad Airport. These early milestones opened the door to a new format of wellness across hotels, airports, malls, and high streets. At a time when India's spa industry was fragmented and inconsistent, Ritesh saw the opportunity to build a trusted, professional wellness network with structure, training, hygiene, and scale.
Building Trust at Scale
As O2 Spa grew, Ritesh's focus was clear: scale could never come at the cost of trust. Every outlet had to deliver the same sense of professionalism, hygiene, care, and consistency — whether inside a five-star hotel, an airport, a mall, or a high street location. Before the pandemic, O2 Spa had grown into one of India's largest organised spa chains, with 100+ outlets across India and international markets, including Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Kuwait.
From Spa to Wellness Ecosystem
The evolution from Ode Spa to Ridhira Group was not a change of industry — it was an expansion of purpose. Through wellness real estate, hospitality, boutique retreats, spa services, and AI-enabled personalisation, Ridhira Group is building an ecosystem where people can live, heal, connect, recover, and grow in a more holistic way.
For Ritesh, true luxury is no longer only about opulence. It is about time well lived, communities well designed, and lives shaped with greater balance, purpose, and care.
